Heart of a Champion

"Heart of a Champion was a really good book but it did not grasp my attention, all though the story was incredible. This story was about a boy who could not do anything athletic, but he had a dream to play for the Clovers (Like his older brother). After his brother kept on disagreeing, Kenny never gave up and eventually got given some practice. I thought the message was really powerful, to never give up and always keep trying! I’m not a fan of baseball but I would still give this book a 3.5/5."

"I really liked the book, it was slow at the start but at the end I was at the edge of my seat. It was such a powerful book, that brought a powerful message. To never give up and try your best no matter what others tell you that you can't cause you can! I give this book a 8 ½ out of 10!"

"This story is about a boy named Kenny who couldn’t do any running, roller-skating, baseball nothing. One afternoon Kenny begged his brother Mickey (who is the best baseball player ever) to teach him how to play baseball, his brother finally gave in and they did practice lots. Kenny wanted to be just like his brother Mickey so he could have people come up to him lots and ask for autographs but mostly Kenny wanted to play baseball because he loved baseball. I would rate this book a ⅗ because the book was good and detailed but i just don’t like baseball and this book is definitely not a book I would read over and over. I think boys and girls who love hitting a ball with a bat should read this book."

"Compassion, strong hearted, beautiful. I loved this book it was so good. I loved how the author surprised me and kept you guessing. This book is my favourite by far. It was fun to read and I couldn't put it down. I can't believe how good this author made Heart of a Champion. The ending was different than I expected and that kept it fun. I give this book a 5/5 but if I could I would give it a 10/5."
