Deep Roots: How Trees Sustain Our Planet

"This book was a very quick read, even though it felt like forever. It was very full of interesting facts and knowledge. I would not read this book again, because although it had interesting facts, I thought that they taught some subjects over again! I would rate this book a ⅖ because it taught things over again. I would recommend this book to someone who is thinking of studying trees and nature."

"I sorta liked this book. This book was about trees and how the help us in our everyday lives. Which isn't my kind of book. I liked the pictures they took in the book from trees all over the world. I would rate this book a 4/10 and would recommend it to people who like nature books."

"This book wasn't my type of book. It was very interesting though. It wasn't a book I could get into, I would recommend it for people who are interested on books that are about nature/trees. If I were to give this book a rating I would give it a ⅗ it was pretty good but not good enough for me to fall deep into the book. Other people might love it but I really like action books and books that kind of relate to my life!"

"This book was unbelievable, it showed me that trees are more than just a plant in the forest. They help us breathe and have much more to offer than you think. Trees are super important in our world. We need trees, this book was super helpful, it helped me understand the importance of trees and that they aren’t just plants in the forest that take up space in the world. After reading this book I will respect trees for all they are. I really loved this book and couldn’t stop reading. It was so interesting to read. I recommend this book to people who love nature, like myself. I give this book a 5/5."

"This was a somewhat interesting book. I loved how it talked about how trees help all life on earth. The reason I thought this book was somewhat interesting is because it talks about how trees produce food, air and shelter. If I was to rate this book it would be a ⅗ because it was not the most interesting book but it was sometimes interesting. I would say this is a good book for people who like to learn about earth."

"I thought this was a good book. I think this book should be rated ⅘ because it was really interesting.  I recommend this book to anyone who likes books about nature. I like how there was little fact boxes on every page because I learned something new from most of them, and some of the fact boxes had something I would have never guessed. This book was about how trees grow, where they grow, how important they are, and all their amazing special features."

"I like nature just like the person who made this book and the person who inspired even more to make this book. I would rate this book 5/5. I recommend this book to people who like nature and wants to know more about how nature works. This was a really good book and I wonder how long it took to make this and research the information. I also wonder how many people it takes to hug a redwood tree."

"Deep Roots was a very informative book about trees, what they do and tree growth. Nikki Tate writes about how trees affect her life and how they affected her childhood in this book. She also wrote about forest fires, and how some trees need fires to open their cones with seeds in them. She talked about her house and the trees she plants there. I give this book a two out of five because it was okay but I like longer more exciting books. I recommend this book to people who like environmental information or plants."

"The way this book stretched my thinking was absolutely astonishing. I love reading these books about the earth and our footprint. This book was not an exception. Learning about deserts and trees of all kinds was very interesting. What was even more extraordinary was how they added words into the glossary that were more complicated. Doing that better my understanding of the story. While reading I found lots of  fascinating information about trees and the earth that I never knew about. I would rate this book a 4 out of 5. I would recommend this book to my classmates who find facts about trees engaging. I hope to read more books like this in the future."

"I really enjoyed this book and found it very interesting. This book talks about trees and how they sustain our planet; like how they give us oxygen and take back the carbon dioxide that we produce. I find this book, more grade ⅚ then 7 because we already know about trees. I would give this book a 9/10 cause I already know about trees."

"Deep Roots is a very interesting book. It had a lot of cool pictures that I really enjoyed. I liked the pictures and interesting facts. I did not hate anything but I would not say it is one of my favourite books. It does not have a lot of detail in the paragraphs. I like learning about nature sometimes but not all the time. I liked reading this book and learning about a bunch of different things that were pretty fascinating. If I had to rate this book I would rate it a 4/5. Overall, I would recommend this book to people who like nature and things like that."
